Helpful Amazon Products You Need For Your Garden Obsession

Updated: Apr 5, 2024

Spring has sprung! Or has it? With an early Easter holiday this year, I have found myself yearning for sunny days and more outside time. Unfortunately, false spring can be a real issue, depending on where you live.

For Idahoans, False spring is a time during March & April when the unpredictable weather gets the best of us all. At the beginning of March, I really thought I had left the dreary winter months behind me, only to see snow out my window and cold temperatures on my weather app. At this point in the season, all that a girl like me can do is wait it out. I keep telling myself that consistently warm days will come, sooner or later.

You know that feeling when you walk outside and see the buds on the trees, hear the birds chirping, and feel the sun peaking out from behind a grey cloud? This type of sensory experience that I perceive on nice days really gets me in high spirits. The warm days that seem to be few and far between, make me think about working in my garden. In fact, this past weekend it was beautiful outside, and I was able to clear all of the dead plant debris from my raised beds, to make way for new seeds. Although the weather is not nice enough for me (a perpetually cold girlie) to begin working in my garden every day, I am happy that it is finally time to start the planning process.

Cottage gardens can be planted by anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a novice or experienced gardener. Gardening can be joyful and fulfilling, during all stages of life and all phases of planning. Personally, my favorite part of gardening is sharing the experience with my husband and children. We love to plan out our garden space together. Each of my kids are always assigned their own plot of dirt, within our garden walls. A space where they can plant and tend to the flowers and vegetables of their choosing.

I have been planting my own garden for decades, and every year during cultivation I learn something new and exciting. I love to incorporate old gardening wisdom, and modern planting concepts into my home gardening rituals. As I sit down to plan my 2024 spring + summer garden, I want to share some of my most loved gardening products.
